To say summer is my season would be an understatement. Having grown up in Southern California, the concept of seasons was completely foreign to me until I moved to Charlotte. Don’t get me wrong, I now fully appreciate the beauty of fall leaves, winter flurries and the first, brave bud that signals the start of spring. But still...summer to me is just pure magic: the warm sun on your skin, clear blue skies and long days spent in the water. Every day beckons you to get outside, be active and soak up everything it has to offer.
The biggest difference between the east and west coasts in the summer, though? That hot, sticky feeling that makes you scream, “Hello, humidity!” every time you walk out the door (or is that just me?).
